01The First Question

How may weassist you?

Three ways in. Each one begins with a conversation rather than a form.

02The Showcase

Examined the waya catalogue examines.

Take hold of it. Drag to turn the car, or use the arrow keys. The notes beside it are the ones that would be made in person, standing next to it.

04The Process

Every search is personallymanaged, end to end.

Five stages, in the same order every time. What changes is the car and the conversation, never the standard.

  1. Stage 01

    Define the Search

We start with a conversation, not a form. What the car is for matters as much as what it is. By the end we have a written brief: specification, tolerances, budget, timing, and what you are willing to compromise on — which is usually the part that decides whether a search succeeds.

You stop scrolling listings at eleven at night.

  2. Stage 02

    Access the Network

The public market is only part of the market. Dealer consignment, trade inventory, collection disposals and owners who have not yet decided to sell all sit outside it. Those conversations happen quietly and they happen on the phone.

You see cars that were never advertised.

  3. Stage 03

    Inspect and Evaluate

Every candidate is inspected by an independent specialist before it is taken seriously — paint depth, undertray, service continuity, accident history, options against the build sheet. Findings come to you in full, including the ones that end the conversation.

You never buy a car nobody has looked under.

  4. Stage 04

    Negotiate and Secure

Negotiation is handled at arm's length, which is worth more than any technique. The seller does not know how much you want it. Terms, deposit, contract and title are agreed before anything is committed.

You are not the one on the phone arguing about a number.

  5. Stage 05

    Deliver with Precision

Enclosed transport as standard, insured, with a named driver and a delivery window that suits you. The car arrives washed, fuelled and with its documents in order — at home, at the office, or at the airport.

    You take delivery once, properly.

05The Record

Recently Sourced

What a search actually involves, described without the parts that are nobody else’s business.

Recently completed

Modern turbocharged coupe, rare configuration

A specific colour and interior combination, manual-adjacent specification, and a hard limit on mileage. The client had been looking for seven months.

  • Configuration located through a dealer consignment relationship, before listing
  • One-owner example with unbroken franchised service history
  • Independent pre-purchase inspection completed prior to any deposit
  • Negotiated and secured at arm's length over four days
  • Enclosed nationwide delivery to the client's residence

The car was identified, inspected and secured inside two weeks of the brief being agreed. The client saw it for the first time in his own driveway.

Front-engined V12, specified to the client's brief

A low-mileage example in a specific exterior and interior combination. The client was willing to wait for the right specification and unwilling to compromise on it.

  • Search held open across three months rather than closed early
  • Two candidates rejected at inspection stage and reported in full
  • Third car located through a private network contact, never advertised
  • Options verified line by line against the original build sheet
  • Transaction and transport coordinated as a single process

The specification was met without compromise. Two earlier candidates were declined on inspection findings, which is the part of the process that matters most.

Full-size luxury SUV, trade and purchase together

A replacement needed inside a fixed timeline, with an existing vehicle to move and a loan payoff to settle at the same time.

  • Outgoing vehicle evaluated privately rather than taken to auction
  • Replacement located within the client's stated timeline
  • Loan payoff calculated and settled as part of one transaction
  • Both movements scheduled on the same day
  • Documentation handled end to end

One vehicle left and another arrived on the same afternoon, with the payoff settled and the paperwork closed before either car moved.

Client names, vehicles and terms are published only where consent has been given. Most of what we place is never written up at all.

Principal

Representationmatters.

Brandon Mayfield provides personal automotive representation for clients seeking a more thoughtful way to acquire, sell and manage exceptional vehicles.

Representation, not sales

We are paid to find you the right car, not to move a particular one. If the best answer is that you should keep what you have, that is the advice you will get.

Discretion by default

Client names, vehicles and transaction terms are not published, discussed or used as marketing. Testimonials appear only with written consent.

Direct communication

One number, one advisor, and a straight answer about what a car actually is.

Nationwide capability

Searches, inspections and delivery run across the country. Distance changes logistics, not the standard.

Annual valuation

Each vehicle reviewed once a year against comparable activity, documented for insurance and estate purposes.

Sale and trade coordination

Disposal and replacement handled as a single transaction rather than two unrelated ones.

Transportation management

Enclosed movement between residences, storage and events, arranged and supervised.

Private events

Occasional invitations to viewings, auctions and gatherings that are not open to the public.
