The Record

Recently Sourced

No prices, no savings figures, no client names. What is described is the work: where the car came from, what the inspection found, and how it was secured.

Modern turbocharged coupe, rare configuration

A specific colour and interior combination, manual-adjacent specification, and a hard limit on mileage. The client had been looking for seven months.

  • Configuration located through a dealer consignment relationship, before listing
  • One-owner example with unbroken franchised service history
  • Independent pre-purchase inspection completed prior to any deposit
  • Negotiated and secured at arm's length over four days
  • Enclosed nationwide delivery to the client's residence

The car was identified, inspected and secured inside two weeks of the brief being agreed. The client saw it for the first time in his own driveway.

Front-engined V12, specified to the client's brief

A low-mileage example in a specific exterior and interior combination. The client was willing to wait for the right specification and unwilling to compromise on it.

  • Search held open across three months rather than closed early
  • Two candidates rejected at inspection stage and reported in full
  • Third car located through a private network contact, never advertised
  • Options verified line by line against the original build sheet
  • Transaction and transport coordinated as a single process

The specification was met without compromise. Two earlier candidates were declined on inspection findings, which is the part of the process that matters most.

Full-size luxury SUV, trade and purchase together

A replacement needed inside a fixed timeline, with an existing vehicle to move and a loan payoff to settle at the same time.

  • Outgoing vehicle evaluated privately rather than taken to auction
  • Replacement located within the client's stated timeline
  • Loan payoff calculated and settled as part of one transaction
  • Both movements scheduled on the same day
  • Documentation handled end to end

One vehicle left and another arrived on the same afternoon, with the payoff settled and the paperwork closed before either car moved.

Preservation-class collector car, acquired quietly

An unrestored example for a client adding a preservation car to an existing collection. Originality mattered more than condition.

  • Owner approached directly; car had never been offered for sale
  • Marque specialist engaged to assess originality and prior work
  • Findings, including the unfavourable ones, reported before any offer
  • Terms agreed privately with no public listing at any stage
  • Enclosed transport with climate control to the client's storage facility

The transaction was concluded without the car ever appearing on the open market. The seller's name has not been published and will not be.

Client names, vehicles and terms are published only where consent has been given. Most of what we place is never written up at all.

The full record

Most of the work never appears here at all.

Clients who value discretion tend not to want their acquisitions written up. Everything above is published with permission, and a good deal is not published at all.
