How to read this

Directional commentary, drawn from what we see placing cars. It is not a valuation, an appraisal or a forecast, and no vehicle on this site is offered as an investment.

What a review covers

The questions worth answering before you commit.

Prepared for a specific vehicle rather than published as a dashboard. What matters for a twelve-thousand-mile modern GT is not what matters for an unrestored collector car.

Recent market movement
Direction of travel by segment over the trailing quarter, weighted toward completed transactions rather than asking prices.
Comparable listings
Live and recently closed comparables for a specific vehicle, filtered to genuinely similar specification.
Historical sales
Auction and private-sale results where they are a matter of record, with the caveats each result deserves.
Days on market
How long comparable cars are taking to move. Often more informative than the numbers attached to them.
Production rarity
Build volumes and option take-rates, which is where most of the difference between two apparently identical cars lives.
Option desirability
Which boxes are worth having ticked in the segment, and which cost money and return none of it.
Depreciation considerations
Where a model sits on its curve, and what typically happens next. An estimate, and treated as one.
Collector demand
Whether interest is broadening or concentrating, and what that means for both buying and selling.

Important

Nothing on this site is investment advice. Vehicles are not securities, values move in both directions, and a car bought for its likely appreciation is a car bought for the wrong reason. Figures prepared for a specific vehicle are estimates, drawn from third-party data and attributed when they are given to you.
